I became a massage therapist because I wanted a career that let me combine my love of physiology with the ability to be a genuinely supportive presence for people. I find the human body endlessly fascinating — how it moves, how it compensates, how it adapts — and I love being someone who can walk alongside my clients as they work through pain and change, without carrying the clinical weight of a psychology practice. What draws me in every day is the chance to hold space for someone, to listen, and to help them feel truly heard.
Early in my career, I had a client who nearly broke down in tears — not because the treatment hurt, but because I simply believed her. I believed that her pain was real. That moment changed the way I practice forever. I never want anyone on my table to feel dismissed or like a victim of their own body. My goal is for every client to leave feeling empowered, with a better understanding of what is happening in their body and what they can do about it. I don't love the word "healing" — I think what we really do is aid the body in adaptation, building resilience so you can keep doing the things that matter to you.
Outside the clinic, I'm a runner and a mom of two, so I understand firsthand what it means to ask your body to show up day after day. Whether you are navigating pregnancy, training for a race, or just trying to get through your workday without pain, I want to help you move forward with confidence and without shame. Your body is not broken — it just might need a little support.
Everything I do starts with the nervous system. I have learned that the body needs to accept treatment, not fight it, so I work with your nervous system rather than against it. I am known for deeper tissue work, but I never push past the point where your body starts to guard or resist. There is a real difference between productive pressure and pain that just triggers a stress response, and I pay close attention to that line. The result is deep, effective work that your body can actually integrate.
I also believe that the best outcomes happen when you and I are a team. I use visual tools and anatomy apps to help you understand exactly what is going on in your body, because knowledge is empowering. I will always give you honest, shame-free home care — exercises and strategies you can realistically fit into your life — so that the progress we make on the table carries forward between sessions. My job is not to make you dependent on treatment. My job is to give you the tools and the confidence to take ownership of how your body feels.
